Hotel Chic Primary Bathroom

....another show stopping Before and After!

This week we are going to give you an inside peek of a project we began during COVID and just recently photographed with Adrienne Figueroa Photography. You know how your list of “To Dos” got waylaid during COVID and many projects took a much longer timeline than anticipated? Well, this one was worth the wait. It is a beauty and this couple is loving their hotel chic primary bathroom! From new finishes, a sleek transom window, a new tub, and enlarged shower, the cool back-lit LED mirrors, and high-contrast tile, this space is bold and beautiful and all the client longed for.

Out With the Old, In With the New

Bathroom Before Renovation

This renovation called for removing the dated wallpaper, tile, and wall-to-wall glass mirrors. The footprint remained the same, but updating to a more sophisticated look and feel was especially important for this client.

Inspired by the sleek, contemporary bathrooms in which the homeowners stayed on their many travels, they desired that luxury look and feel!

Inspiration for our Project - Homeowners loved this look but needed more functional storage.

Designing Down to the Smallest Detail

We tore out their existing marble floor, removed wallpaper and mirrors, and replaced their tub, vanities, and light fixtures -- even the one small window in the room got a new look!

Design by Home by Hattan. Construction by Crosspoint Construction. Bathtub by Kaldewei. Plumbing Fixtures by Delta, the Bowery Collection We ran Crema Marfil tile up the walls over the tub, painted the walls a creamy white where there wasn’t tile (Benjamin Moore Navajo White), and added in color with quartz countertops by Cambria, and the ultra-cool Basalt Stone stacked accent tile behind the backlit mirrors -- all the way to the ceiling!

Back-lit LED mirrors give this bathroom a "wow" factor

The homeowners love the color of natural maple wood and desired that sleek contemporary look. We found just what we wanted in some flat panel, natural maple cabinetry we designed using Strasser Woodenworks. We installed cabinetry with storage towers and lots of drawers!

To set off the natural maple cabinetry, we selected a contrasting floor color, a Nero Black Honed Marmi Lux tile by Gio Tile in a large format tile. This contemporary combination was repeated in the shower, using the Crema Marfil on the shower walls, the Nero Black tile in the niche, and a beautiful stone mosaic on the shower floor by Anatolia Tile. The pebbled floor, along with the homeowner's teak stool and mat, add those wonderful touches of natural elements that bring warmth to a space.

Nero Black Marmi Lux floor tile contrasts beautifully with the maple cabinetry and cream wall tiles

The shower was designed to bring all the elements of the new bathroom together - cream, charcoal black, function, feel, and a sophisticated warmth and elegance.

The new materials and additional storage with contemporary cabinetry make this room beautiful and functional with just the right amount of drama and sophistication, and now it just feels like the 5-star hotel bathroom the clients enjoy!

Shower & Closet Before

The walk-in closet also underwent renovation to add storage, function and glam!

Let's take one more look at where we started and where we ended, shall we? Beautiful Bathroom Renovation + Happy Clients = Win, Win!!
